DEMOSCENE PORTFOLIO

Introduction

The demoscene is an international computer art subculture that specializes in producing demos: small, self-contained computer programs that produce audio-visual presentations. The main goal of a demo is to show off programming, artistic, and musical skills.

I have been active in the demoscene for over 25 years. I started at the age of 11 with my first drawings on the Vic 20, MSX and Commodore 64. I later founded my own demogroup on the Amiga, learned to pixel, and over the years made many great friends within the demoscene, with many groups and on various platforms.

My group nowadays is called "TITAN" and has over 30 members from all corners of the world. I founded this group with my close friend Irokos, and together we have made it what it is today: a diverse group of skilled people with the same mindset and passion for creating demos. No platform will be safe from us. I'm also active as a graphics artist in various other groups such as Desire, Genesis Project, and former groups include Rebels, Fresh!Mindworks and the mighty Paradox.

People often ask, what is your best demo? If I had to pick one, it would be OverDrive. 1.5 year in the making, it was the winning demo of the demoparty Evoke 2013. It was a pure labour of love: we designed and produced 30 Mega Drive cartridges containing the demo and shipped them to various demosceners in the world. With over 60,000 Youtube views, it gained *massive* attention. We did interviews, and felt like rockstars. We pushed the 25 year old hardware to its limits and even discovered a few new tricks. So. Watch it. Below. In the Youtube Player.
